Add on or move? What a room addition involves.
If you like the lot and the neighborhood, an addition gets you the room without the move. We walk the house, show you how the new part ties into the roof lines, floor heights and structure, and write the scope phase by phase so you see the cost before you decide.
Because we frame our own work, the new part ties into the old part the way it should.

An addition usually changes the rooms it joins. We open up the wall where the new space connects, rework what has to change around it, and finish it so the old and new parts read as one house.

Living next to a job site is hard enough. We keep the plan clear, the site clean and the surprises to a minimum.
Walk-through
We look at the house and the lot, listen to what you need the new space to do, and talk through options and what they'll involve.
Scope & quote
A written scope with the work broken out phase by phase, so you see the cost before you decide.
Build & tie-in
Foundation, framing and dry-in for the new part, then the tie-in to the house, with the rest of the house kept livable.
Punch list & hand-off
We walk it with you, close out the punch list, and leave you with a space that's finished, not "mostly done."

Good questions to ask before you add on.
Does an addition match the existing house?
That's the point of doing it right. Roof lines, floor heights, siding and trim are tied into what's there, and because we frame the addition ourselves the structure connects properly instead of just butting up against the old wall.
Can I stay in the house while you build the addition?
Usually, yes. Most of the work happens outside the house until the tie-in. When we open the wall we contain the dust, keep a path through the house and keep the water and power on outside of short planned shut-offs.
Do you do remodels on their own?
Our focus is custom homes, barns and barndominiums, and additions. We take on remodeling when it's part of an addition or a larger project. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll tell you straight whether it's a fit.
Will you handle the whole thing, or do I need to hire other trades?
One call handles it. We run the job start to finish and coordinate the trades, so you have one point of contact.
What about a detached garage or workshop?
We build those as conventionally framed garages or, more often on acreage, as post-frame buildings — faster, wide open inside and no full foundation required. We'll help you pick the right one for your lot.
