What is a turnkey custom home?
Turnkey means one builder takes the house from plans to keys. You pick the plan and the land; we handle the permits, site work and foundation, framing, the roof and envelope, every trade and the finishes, then walk it with you and hand over the keys.
We build our custom homes with our licensed partner builder, and you keep one point of contact the whole way. Framing is our trade, so the structure of your house is built by our own crew. It's the same framing we do on barndominiums and additions.

Our plan previews show a brick Tudor, a modern farmhouse and a board-and-batten home. Those homes were built by our licensed partner builder, not by Blue Collar Built; we show them for style and layout. Want one like it? We'll build yours custom, turnkey, on your land.

Questions to ask any home builder.
Do you build on my land?
Yes. We build on your lot anywhere we work in Middle Tennessee. We walk the site first for access, drainage, and where the foundation and utilities want to go.
Can I bring my own plans?
Yes. Bring the plans you have, from an architect, a designer or a plan book, and we'll build from them. If you're starting from a photo or a sketch, we'll help you get to a buildable, quotable set.
Are the homes in your plan previews built by you?
No. The plan-preview photos show homes built by our licensed partner builder, not by Blue Collar Built. We show them for style and layout. Your home is built by us with that partner builder, custom, on your land.
Are you licensed to build custom homes?
Yes. Blue Collar Built is licensed and insured, and our custom homes are built with our licensed partner builder, who qualifies our licence. Ask and we'll include the licence details with your quote.
Is the quote really the price?
Your quote is itemized by phase, so you can see what each part of the house costs. If you change the scope, or something turns up that nobody could have seen, we stop and talk to you first. Nothing changes on the quote without a conversation.
